IndiaLockdown: Government will give 2 rupees kg wheat and three rupees kg rice to 80 crore people

Relief for the common people came on Wednesday from the central government amidst strict steps being taken to avoid the Corona epidemic. In a cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, it has been decided to give two rupees per kg wheat and three rupees rice to 80 crore people. All people will be given three months ration in advance.

After the cabinet meeting, Union Minister Prakash Javadekar warned black-marketing-hoarders to take strict action. Assured people not to get into the rumor and continue to supply essential items like normal days during lockdown.
Javadekar said that the whole world is going through a crisis due to Corona epidemic.

The only way to avoid this is social distance. Due to this the lockdown has increased the troubles of ordinary people. In view of this, a way has been found to give relief to 80 crore people. Now, due to this decision, the way for a person to get 21 kg of grain will be cleared. Necessary preparations have been made for this.

Appeal to avoid rumors

The Union Minister said that there would be no shortage of essentials during the lockdown. Like normal days, essential shops including ration, milk, medicines, meat will remain open. People can shop for essential items at these places just like normal days. So do not buy excessively due to fear in the rumor or else it will lead to hoarding and black marketing.

Social distance care in the cabinet

In the cabinet meeting held at PM Niwas, social distance was taken care of. All the ministers involved in the meeting, including the PM, followed the distance. Their chairs were kept far away at the meeting place.
